Most answers are below. If yours is not, write to us and a person will reply.

The recording is empty or very quiet

Check the volume of the call itself first: a recording made from a call you could barely hear will be just as hard to hear afterwards.

Speakerphone and Bluetooth headsets change which audio path is used. If a recording came out unusable, try the same setup again with the phone held normally before assuming the app is at fault.

A recording is missing from the history

A recording appears in the history once it has been stopped and saved. If the app was force-quit while recording, or the call dropped before the recording was stopped, there may be nothing to save.

Check whether the entry was renamed - search by the name you gave it rather than by the number.

Playback stops or skips

Long recordings take a moment to load. If playback stalls repeatedly on the same file, try it over a different network connection before reporting it.

Sharing a recording

Use the share control in the player. Remember that a recording may be confidential and that sharing it can be regulated even where making it was lawful.

Subscriptions, renewals and refunds

Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple. To cancel, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions and cancel Call Recorder at least 24 hours before the current period ends.

To restore Premium on a new device, sign in with the Apple ID that bought it and use Restore Purchases.

Refunds are issued by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Deleting your recordings

Delete any recording from the player. If you want everything removed, including anything held on the service side, write to us from the address associated with your account and say so.
